I had read on different fantasy football web sites about the format called PPR (Points Per Reception). The concept for the un-informed that may have stumbled onto this is that you get a point each time a player on your team catches a pass. Seems like a somewhat harmless addition to the scoring system of most any fantasy league. But I am here to tell you, after 8 weeks of the season, it makes quite a difference.
I was looking at year to date stats for our league the other morning and pulled up the list of scoring leaders combining RB-WR-TE and I have to say it turns standard scoring afficienados upside down. The main reason I was looking over these stats was that I was trying to see who would be a good RB to target for a trade, as my roster seems soft in that department. Here is what I found:
